Private Reference Service

Clay County Busted Mugshots is an independent reference service. It does not hold official police, jail, court, or corrections records. It cannot confirm whether someone is in custody, arrange a release, alter an agency record, file a document, or speak for the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, the Clay County Detention Center, Missouri courts, or the Missouri Department of Corrections.

Links and search tools can help visitors locate the office that may control a record, including city police agencies, the county sheriff, a detention facility, a court, or a state or federal system. A link to an outside research tool is not a certification that its result is correct, current, complete, or suitable for a particular purpose.

Acceptable Use

Use the site lawfully and with care for other people’s privacy and safety. The following conduct is not permitted:

• Using the site or its links in violation of a federal, state, or local law.
• Using information to stalk, harass, threaten, shame, or harm another person.
• Using site content or a linked record to make a decision barred by the FCRA or another applicable law.
• Trying to gain unauthorized access to the site, its hosting environment, accounts, or connected services.
• Running automated bots, scrapers, or bulk-collection tools without written permission.
• Interfering with the availability, security, or ordinary use of the site by others.

FCRA-Prohibited Uses

Neither Clay County Busted Mugshots nor its advertising and search partners furnishes consumer reports, credit reports, or background checks. You agree not to use information obtained through this site or an associated tool for any purpose covered by the FCRA, including the purposes listed below.

• Making a hiring, firing, promotion, or other work-related decision.
• Evaluating a tenant, residence, lease, or housing application.
• Setting credit terms, evaluating creditworthiness, or deciding insurance eligibility or premiums.
• Determining eligibility for a license, permit, government benefit, or similar program.
• Any other purpose that treats information as a consumer report under the FCRA.

Links Beyond Our Control

The site may link to sheriff roster pages, police records portals, court services, corrections systems, legal resources, news outlets, and external search services. Clay County detention, Missouri Department of Corrections, federal, and immigration systems are separate record holders with their own rules. We do not control those sites, their accuracy, availability, security, privacy practices, or changes to their terms. Review the terms and policies of each destination before using it.

Information Provided As Is

The site and all material made available through it are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not promise that information or a linked service will be accurate, complete, current, uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or available at a particular time.

• Records can be delayed, corrected, redacted, sealed, or removed from a public view.
• A linked service can be unavailable or can change without notice.
• Technical errors, defects, and security issues can occur despite reasonable efforts.
• Results supplied by an outside search partner may be incomplete or unsuitable for a particular use.

Custody status and public-record access can change quickly. Missouri’s RSMo 610.100 addresses the public status of arrest and incident reports while allowing statutory exceptions and redactions. No content here is an official statement by the sheriff, a police department, a jail, a court, or a corrections agency.

Limits of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Clay County Busted Mugshots and its owners, operators, partners, and service providers are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or other damages arising from use of, inability to use, or reliance on the site, its content, or a linked destination.

Your Indemnity Obligation

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Clay County Busted Mugshots, its owners, operators, partners, and service providers from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and reasonable legal fees arising from your use of the site, your violation of these Terms & Conditions, or your violation of another person’s rights.

Site Intellectual Property

Unless a separate notice says otherwise, the site’s original text, graphics, logo presentation, design, and code belong to Clay County Busted Mugshots or its content partners and are protected by applicable intellectual-property law. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, publish, or create derivative works from those materials without prior written permission, except where law permits the use.

Updates to These Terms

We may revise these Terms & Conditions at any time. An updated version takes effect when it is posted here. Continuing to use the site after a revision means that you accept the then-current terms.

Access May Be Restricted

We may suspend, limit, or end access to all or part of the site at any time, for any reason, and without prior notice. That action does not create a duty to monitor, retain, or provide any record, search result, or site feature.

Missouri Law and Venue

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute related to these terms or the site must be brought in a court located within Missouri, subject to the applicable court’s jurisdiction and any law that requires a different forum.

Severability

If a court finds any part of these Terms & Conditions invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will stay in effect. The affected provision will be enforced or adjusted only to the minimum extent needed to make it valid where possible.
